Travel In Sandals to Visit the Picturesque Whitsundays Islands

Perhaps the most talked about and recommended place in Australia is the Whitsundays Islands. It has arguably the most beautiful beaches on the planet.

Bordered by the Great Barrier Reef in the calm waters of the Coral Sea, the 74 tropical islands of the Whitsundays lie midway along Australia's east coast. Airlie Beach is the vibrant hub of the region and the gateway to the 74 islands - only eight of which are inhabited.

We're spending four days in Whitsundays, two of which will be on a boat excursion through Islandive Boat Tours. We'll be on the WINGS Boat (video), which is said to be good for the young and adventurous and has a busy social atmosphere that is especially good for singles. PERFECT!! It visits Whitehaven beach, the popular picturesque beach you see on every promo video (pictured above), it drops anchor multiple times allowing for rainforest walks, beachcombing, snorkeling, diving and more.

We'll be in Whitsundays Feb. 26 - Mar. 2 and we plan to have plenty of photos, video and stories to share.
