Jason Mraz "I'm Yours"Video; Louis Vuitton Inspiring Commercial; Michael Franti's "Say Hey" Video

We're fans of videos and images that encourage and inspire traveling and exploring so we're kicking off this blog in similar fashion to our first blog - Matt and Mom's BBQ Road Trip - with three uplifting, travel oriented videos.

First, Jason Mraz "I'm Yours" music video encapsulates the laid back easy going mentality of Travel In Sandals.

Second, this Louis Vuitton commercial digs a little deeper and pulls on the heart strings. Along with the amazing visuals, it conveys a quality message of travel and exploration as a form of self-discovery. Best line, "Does the person create the journey? Or does the journey create the person?"

And finally, Michael Franti's catchy "Say Hey" ditty that encourages us to live, love and dance.

Travel In Sandals Mission Statement

Over the past few months, it’s as though our usual ruts have been dug deeper. We’re staying home more. Sticking to the same local spots – even though we know there’s a new, more enticing place a few cities over. We’ve become creatures of habit. We’re having the same conversations, sipping the same coffee. We’re grumpy and distracted, continuously checking our phones. It’s all quite depressing. We feel it’s time to go somewhere new, leave some responsibility behind and go with the flow. If you can't get out of the country or even out of the state then take a short golf weekend up the coast or a fun camping adventure at the beach. There are hundreds of simple, easy-to-plan adventures that will get you away from the norm.

To be upfront, there may be some really bad advice on this blog. There will likely be things that could get you fired, injured, skunked and dumped. There will most definitely be recommendations that will leave you in poverty and actions that will give you a criminal record in most countries. But if there's one thing we know about getting ourselves into those situations, it's that the road there is a hell of a lotta of fun!

But if carefree isn't your thing right now, if the promise of good times doesn't have you logging onto Orbitz right away, then by all means, keep scratching away to your next car payment. Keep working through the best years of your life. Somebody's gotta work. If you need us, we'll be surfing in Florianoplis or kayaking in the gulf of Thailand or scuba diving in Cairns or having beers in Munich.

It’s time to reinvigorate the spirit of youth on the run. We wish you good travels.
